Stabilization of a Nonlinear Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment Model
A nonlinear anaerobic digester model of wastewater treatment plants is considered. The stabilizability of the dynamic system is studied and a continuous stabilizing feedback, depending only on an online measurable variable, is proposed. Computer simulations are carried out in Maple to illustrate the theoretical results.
متن کاملDamping Feedback Stabilization of a Wastewater Treatment Plant
This paper considers the problem of stabilizing a wastewater plant using damping feedback controller. The nonlinear model used is the AM1 anaerobic digestion model. The proposed approach consists in using a damping state feedback controller that renders a desired equilibrium stable through feedback. We first construct an approximate dissipative potential function centered at the desired equilib...
متن کاملMacrophyte waste stabilization ponds: An option for municipal wastewater treatment
The objective of this research is to evaluate the performance of macrophyte waste stabilization pond system for municipal wastewater collected from Taxila (Pakistan). A model of macrophyte waste stabilization pond system was operated for six trials with each trials comprising different detention times that is 3, 5, 7 and 10 days, respectively. For the treatment, locally available macrophyte (wa...
متن کاملImpact of wastewater fouling on contact angle.
Capillary dependent systems are highly influenced by surface fouling and may degrade as material surface properties change. In anticipation of a spacecraft microgravity fluids management system exposed to highly variable wetting conditions, the impact of urine wastewater fouling on capillary contact angle was examined. The results indicate that, in general, surface fouling can decrease the cont...
متن کاملA Review on the Importance of Hormones Monitoring and Their Removal in Conventional Wastewater Treatment Systems
Introduction: Micro pollutants have become one of the most important environmental concerns around the world. These natural and synthetic compounds have been called Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) due to their interfere with the normal function of the endocrine system in humans and animals. They include natural and synthetic hormones and their metabolites, surfactant, insecticide, as well...
